A quiz show, mobile & live
Together with the Berlin-based branding studio MOR, we developed and produced an extensive motion branding package for the trivia app »Cashshow«.
Escape reality with your phone.
The opening sequence draws the players into the narrative world of the gaming machine before the live show starts. We introduce the notion of a global gaming community, an approachable, fun environment to play in and our charming yellow hero player.
A full on TV show branding.
But vertical.
The main brand narrative carries over into several short sequences, such as bumpers, interstitials, countdowns, living backgrounds. Of course, since Cashshow is a mobile only format, we layed emphasis on developing visuals and storys that work particularly well in the vertical format.


From zero to hero.
Playgrounds & Alchemy.
Our main hero appears in almost every sequence to carry the narrative across all show elements. Although simple in shape we injected a lot of character into his movement. From clumsy and charming to bouncy and agile, we were surprised how much emotion a yellow gumball can show.
To breath life into the quizz machine, we came up with several visual analogies. The whole world consists of low-tech, quirky playground-ish elements such as ramps, tunnels, pipes, jumping pads and lots of plastic and gum. Another narrative cue is the production of coins through a wired abstraction of alchemy.
